This issue is currently bothering a lot of our customers and obviously it’s bothering us, too. You might ask yourselves why compatibility has been promised but could not be kept. Of course we tested compatibility during the beta phase as the developers have promised this feature. Various intense tests on different systems (different hardware, Windows versions (XP, Vista, 7 and 8), different orders of installation etc.) have shown that the add-ons are indeed compatible. While it’s been clear from the very beginning that we’ll have to release a small update (adjust installation directory in the installer to OMSI2), we could not expect such huge problems.
The current situation is not and has never been anyone’s intention and can likely be traced back to one of the last updates prior to the release. The developers of the individual routes (City Bus O305, Hamburg – Day & Night as well as Vienna) are working hard on updates so they will eventually be compatible with OMSI 2. But please keep in mind that the developers also have a regular job and a family. Nevertheless they are working flat out on these patches and we are awaiting first results very soon.
